Did you have any bad Injuries in your career and how did it happen?
Broken foot late in the season on 1999 in cold water slipped out of one strap and twisted the other foot, spring 2000 after just being recovered again I broke my leg in cabarete on a twisted landing, which put me out for quite a while. Broken rip in 2004 during the speedweek in Namibia, very painfull but you can not do anything. Many stitches here and there…

Explain how you got into being sponsored?
good friends introduced me to some companies and that is how everything started out of being sponsored! All happened a long time ago before there was ION… then I got the chance to take the first Wetsuits into the icecold water of Iceland!

Part of my life since almost 10 years now, and turned from just fun into a passion and a full time job in every perspective!

Your Favourite place to travel to…
there are many, just important to have my family, or good friends and people around me then I can enjoy any place with or without good to perfect conditions. As every place is as good as you make it yourself!

When I’m 50 years old I…/ after my career I will be…
hopefully still kiting for fun. Still breeding chickens and proud of my grown up children!

What is important for you in life besides Kitesurfing?
My family, chickens and enjoying life with friends.

Beer or cocktail?
Beer with friends at home and Cocktails on the beach when I can either make them myself behind the bar or enjoy them chilling out!

no one ever gave me enough money to start my own bank!
