The surf-Festival Pelzerhaken Sea in Neustadt / Pelzerhaken from the 2nd to 5th june 2011 is the biggest outdoor Exhibition for Windsurfers, Standup Paddle Surfers and Watersports enthusiasts in general. More then 40 exhibitors show their newest equipment and testing is free for everybody. Multiple side-events like the ION SUP-Challenge for amateurs, the Surf-Challenge, a Windsurf Flee market, Video premiers and Live bands round up the season opening. In 2011 more then then 14.000 spectators and came to test, party or just relax on the beach.

As part of the surf festival will also get the SUP sports a grand appearance: for the first time there will be the ION SUP Invitational at which 16 of the best german SUP paddlers are invited. The first three on the podium get a handsome prize money, the sponsor ION provides. It starts on 4th june with a SUP long distance race directly to the promenade in Neustadt, accompanied by large audiences in more scenery along the coast to the festival site Pelzerhaken. On the second day (june 5th) there follows then a sprint race in the knock-out (four-man heats) - the combined results from two competitions, gives the overall result.
