ION international teamriders Kirsty Jones and Tom Court took part in a very special competition.
The Master of the Ocean contest features all three major water sports. Riders have to compete in windsurfing, kitesurfing and surfing. To make this event even more special there are mixed heats, which means that the girls can kick the men’s asses. This is pushing every participant towards his personal limits.
In addition to her excellent skills with the kite, Kirsty has a long lasting windsurfing history and three years of surfing experience. That meant she was able to win this thing and throw out some male competitors in her heats.
And so did she. After her last opponent for the overall female title was out of the game, Kirsty managed to progress a little further and brought home an excellent 3rd place in the overall male ranking.
Tom Court had some difficult heats and unfortunately wiped out during one of them. Nevertheless he went really big as well, so thumbs up to both of you!!!
