Cable gossip

August and July are the most intense months for a wakeboarder in Europe. Outlook reminds you almost every second about an important comp somewhere on the continent. You would need a few clones of yourself to show up at all important spots. Since we don't want to spam our site with all our podium places, we'll update you with a little wake gossip...
We'll start high up north in Ukohalla, Finland. The European Championships were held there. Many people talked about a very impressive setting and enjoyed riding until 11:30 pm since it is not getting dark there at the moment. Daniel Wehmann made it into the finals and took home 7th place. Rene Conrad bagged second place in the Junior division (Nice work dude!!!) and Kevin Cobb got a 6th place in the junior wakeskate division.
Moving 4000km down south to the Wake Park in Aschheim, Germany. The German Wake Masters tour stopped there, to host an excellent Cable competition. Numerous members of the ION Cable Division showed up, to grab some points for the overall ranking. Sebastian 'Sebbltura' Thums got first in the open men division, Benny Sae Chong second, Daniel Wehmann 4th and Stefan Lebwohl 6th. No need to say more about that, the stats prove it. Vanessa Pfaff stood on top of the girls' podium and Susanna right next to her.
A few more kilometres down south to the Jetlake in Feldkirchen. Stefan Lebwohl got 5th in the open division. Kevin Cobb got second in the Wakeskate contest and Sandro Rheinhardt finished right behind him.
To give this gossip a quick sum up: The ION cable division is growing and constantly improving. We also had some off contest action going on lately.
We’ll keep you updated on that one…
