Did you have any bad Injuries in your career and how did it happen?
Well, I think every wakeboarder has some. In 2004 I displaced my second cervical vertebra. First I had a simple concussion, the doc told me not to go wakeboarding for the next 3 weeks, but stupid how I am, I went back on the water after 1 week. I did a left foot forward roll revert, I didn’t get the full rotation, so I landed “head first” and it was done. This is the reason why I hate to do rolls to the inside!

The second bad one happend last year at the Foster's Open. I didn't take enough time to warm up , because I wanted to go for some more training rounds, before my qualification run start. I did just a 360 (sound's gay) on the right kicker. During landing my Board sliped away and I ripped my anterior cruciate ligament, I ripped my meniscus and I ruptured a cartilage too.
Yeah, shit happens, but I will be back on the water next season.

Explain how you got into being sponsored?
My first full Sponsor was ION, so Volker and Michi (captain of the Austrian National Team), thank you very much guys! Also I have to thank my grandmother, she spends so much money in my hobbies and without her I would have never been able to become such a good rider.

One year after I started wakeboarding I was riding for the shop of my home cable. There I had the chance to ride for free and get my Boards and Bindings for the half price.

In 2007, Volker called Michi and asked for a good Austrian Wakeboarder. So Michi told him that there are two good ones at the moment in Austria. A few days later Volker called me, if I'm interested to ride for ION. I said, yeah man, sure I want to ride for you! Since this time I'm a member of the ION-Team

Two weeks later Michi called me and asked me if I want to ride for Ronix and Ten-80 in the next season. I said, yes let's go for it. I was waiting since 2004 to get a full sponsoring and then I got three in two weeks, it was crazy.
